I am part of the Online Tutor Collective, a group of highly experienced A Level tutors, all of whom bring many years of classroom teaching and online tutoring expertise.
While each tutor runs their own independent tuition business, we are united by a shared commitment to high standards to ensure a consistent and professional experience for students and families.
Here are the Online Tutor Collective's common quality standards:

Teachers – each tutor either has a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), PGCE and/or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Member of The Tutors’ Association: the voluntary, not-for-profit professional body that represents the tutoring sector, with a commitment to continuous personal development

Enhanced DBS check and on the Update Service

Safeguarding training

Free-of-charge and without obligation initial student and parent/carer engagement.

Student Plan to focus on the knowledge, skills and exam technique required to help the student achieve their desired objective

Minimum number of lessons – a minimum of four hours of tutoring (subject to individual tutor practice)

Recording of online sessions, subject to client consent, and retaining the recording for a minimum period of time for the student to access, subject to individual tutor’s policies

24 hours’ notice of cancellation or the lesson is fully chargeable, subject to the individual tutor’s practices, terms and conditions

Ashish Sharma
BSc (Hons) Mathematics, PGCE, PgDip in Educational Leadership
Ashish is a dedicated and specialist A-level Maths tutor. With over 13 years of teaching experience and several years of examiner experience, Ashish brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to his tutoring sessions. Ashish runs his own successful Maths Tutoring business to support students in the UK and Internationally.

Daniel Sherwood-Clarke
BA (Hons) Mandarin and History 1st Class – Distinction in Spoken Chinese
Daniel is a full-time tutor of Mandarin Chinese A-Level, GCSE, IGCSE, IB, HSK and ISEB. The overwhelming majority of his students achieve A and A* in their exams. He has 13+ years' experience as a private tutor and spent his younger years living in China. His students attend some of the UK’s leading schools, such as Eton College, Harrow School, Westminster School and Cheltenham Ladies’ College.

Angela Taylor

Angela specialises in A Level and GCSE Psychology and Sociology with over 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience. Angela has held Senior Leadership positions including Deputy Headteacher. She also adds international teaching to her repertoire, where she taught in the UAE.
She is an experienced examiner for A Level and International Baccalaureate and runs her own successful tutoring business.

Dave Caddies
BSc (Hons), MBA, PGCE & Professional Banking Qualifications
Dave is a passionate and highly experienced A-level Economics and Business online tutor and typically tutors 35 plus A-level students each year. Dave has eighteen years’ classroom and tutoring experience, is a current senior A Level examiner and also brings a wealth of banking and business expertise, all to support his students. David has been nominated for Post-16 Tutor of the Year 2026.

Victoria has over 25 years of teaching experience and teaches modern foreign languages (German, French and Spanish) and English (language and literature) at GCSE, as well as German and French at A-level. She has taught in secondary schools and universities, and now runs her own tuition business.

Jane is an English specialist, with more than 15 years of classroom teaching experience and a background in national journalism, editing, copywriting and PR. Steve is a former Industrial Scientist with 15 years of classroom experience in a wide variety of Secondary School and Sixth Form settings, specialising in GCSE and A Level Chemistry. As a Sixth Form Head of Year for many years he worked extensively on helping Sixth Formers produce successful UCAS applications. He is an experienced A Level Chemistry examiner and has been providing private tuition online via his business on a full-time basis since 2019.
